About
This class features a concise sequence designed to build both strength and balance, presented in a way that is accessible for a wide range of experience levels and physical capabilities. Improving balance and strength enhances stability, coordination, and overall body confidence – benefits that carry directly into everyday movement as well as more advanced yoga practice. Using minimal props and running for approximately 30 minutes, the class can easily be integrated into a busy schedule. You begin with upper-body strengthening preparatory variations of Headstand and Handstand before moving into leg-strengthening standing poses such as Utkatasana and Virabhadrasana I and II. The sequence then breaks down the challenging balance pose Garudasana, isolating key actions with the support of a wall before guiding you toward the full expression of the pose. The class concludes with accessible, upper-body strengthening variations of Chaturanga Dandasana, presented in a way that makes this potentially difficult pose both achievable and beneficial.
