About
This class focuses on the poses vasisthasana and anantasana. These poses are also covered in this weeks advanced class, but in this sequence they are approached from the perspective of people who are less experienced with them. Chaturanga dandasana is practiced initially to gain confidence in using your arms to support your body weight. The wall based variation will be helpful if you are not yet able to lift from the floor. Vrksasana is then included to develop the hip opening that will lead towards vasisthasana 2. From there utthita hasta padangusthasana 2 is practiced to learn the final leg action that will eventually be used in this pose and then in anantasana. This final pose can also be therapeutic for shoulders. Some specific shoulder variations of anantasana are also included.
