Focus: Yoga for the upper back and shoulders. This week we are focusing on the neck and the regions of the body that surround it. The upper back and shoulders are key areas when working to improve the health of your neck. This class will compliment the neck variations included in our Weekly Advanced Class 219. It more broadly targets the thoracic spine and shoulders. In addition to poses that improve strength, mobility and stability the class also includes twisting variations that will help to release tightness and tension from the muscles associated with the upper back, shoulders and neck.
Key Poses: Parighasana, parivrtta trikonasana, parivrtta ardha chandrasana.
