About
Here is the fourth and final class in our “Pune Cycle” course. The class consists of a gentle sequence of restorative chest opening poses, and finishes with some basic pranayama in both seated and reclining positions. The sequence includes classic Iyengar restorative poses such as supta baddha konasana, vaparita karani and setu bandha sarvangasana. These poses are included to calm your nervous system, relax your diaphragm region, and to help direct your attention to your breath. Supports are then used in savasana to keep your chest open whilst working with some reclining ujjayi pranayama. Eventually ujjayi inhalation and exhalation are practiced from an upright seated position. The class includes key principles of Iyengar Yoga restorative poses and basic pranayama.
