About
This 45-minute class offers a compact yet complete practice combining standing poses with inversions, designed to be practiced using minimal equipment – just two blocks and a blanket. The standing-pose section has a clear emphasis on hip opening, introduced through variations of Parighasana, Trikonasana, and Ardha Chandrasana, before progressing to a more detailed exploration of hip mobility in the bent-leg warrior poses and Parsvakonasana. In these poses, a block is carefully wedged between the shin of the bent leg and a wall, supporting a deeper, more balanced descent of the front hip while allowing you to remain in the poses for longer with greater stability and clarity. The sequence concludes with Sirsasana, practiced either freestanding or with wall support, followed by a simple yet effective variation of Setu Bandha Sarvangasana using a single block and the wall. This efficient and well-structured class packs a wide range of standing poses and inversions into a 45-minute practice and will provide a strong, focused challenge for experienced practitioners.
