Backbends and back releasing poses. This class explores energy lifting backbends and then releases your spine with a selection of therapeutic asanas. In addition to boosting energy levels the backbend component of the class will also be great for building strength and improving posture. Variations of key backbends such as salabhasa, ustrasana, urdhva mukha svanasana and urdhva dhanurasana are all included. Some relevant variations of standing poses are featured towards the beginning of the sequence to help prepare your body for the backbends that follow. Back releasing poses such are then practiced towards the end of the class to help bring you back to neutral.
