About
Practicing yoga at home offers the distinct advantage of timing your sessions to align with the most beneficial parts of the day for specific poses. This class focuses on supported variations of headstand (sirsasana) and shoulderstand (sarvangasana), which are ideal for late afternoon practice. In an ideal scenario, where the entire day could be dedicated to yoga, a practitioner could break their practice into three focused sessions: Pranayama would be ideal in the early morning, taking advantage of a clear, refreshed mind. Active asana sequences would follow in the late morning, when energy levels peak. The day could then wind down with inversions and cooling poses, preparing both mind and body for a restful evening. This class includes sirsasana and a variety of its leg variations, practiced with the support of a wall. It then moves into a cooling, supported sarvangasana with chair based variations. You can practice this class independently at your preferred time for inversions or integrate it into your routine with other videos from our library that don’t already include headstand and shoulderstand.
