Focus: This sequence will help you explore the straight lines that run deeply through a variety of related yoga poses. Whereas some asanas emphasise roundness or circular forms, this particular set of poses are more linear in nature. Whilst practicing these poses you are able to fully extend your limbs in all directions. This quality is enhanced by rotating the body orientation in space. Common movements and actions can then be experienced in horizontal, upward, downward and diagonal directions. The resulting emphasis on long, straight lines can help to cut through feelings of blockage and bring a sense of lightness and clarity to the practice session.
Key Poses: Parsvottanasana, virabhadrasana I, bhekasana.
