The sequence features a full range of standing and seated twists including key asanas such as parivrtta parsvakonasana, marichyasana III and ardha matsyendrasana. The latter part of the class focuses on spinal releasing chair twists. The class culminates with two supported versions of the more advanced twist Pasasana. Twists have traditionally been seen as cleansing poses that assist with digestion. They can also help to improve spinal mobility and have numerous therapeutic applications.
