Chest-Opening Poses & Breath Awareness. This class explores chest-opening poses and the way in which they influence the breath. It features multiple variations of the seated asanas baddha konasana and upavistha konasana. Experience these poses in different positions: upright, supported, and reclining. Each variation will give you a different insight into how your breathing, specifically your diaphragm and ribcage, works during inhalation and exhalation. Breathing is a natural and continuous process, yet most of us rarely pay attention to it. In this session you will explore how different postures can impact your breathing pattern.
