Upavista Konasana & Variations – Weekly Advanced Class 222

Focus: This class features upavista konasana and its variations parsva upavista konasana and parivrtta upavista konasana. Adaptations of trikonasana and parighasana are also included to help introduce and isolate key actions involved in each pose. Practiced together, this set of asanas incorporate elements of both forward bends and twists. In addition to improving hamstring and adductor mobility the upavista konasana variations also incorporate back releasing twists that will target hard to reach areas like your latissimus dorsi and quadratus lumborum. Whilst correcting spinal imbalances these poses can bring an energetic boost to a session of forward bends and seated twists.
