Focus: This class features a sequence of back releasing twists. Standing twists, seated twists and chair twists are all included. In poses such as parivrtta parsvakonasana and bharadvajasana a chair is simultaneously used as an energy preserving support and also a stable framework from which you can generate controlled leverage into the action of twisting. In this way emphasis can be placed on lengthening the spine as it turns. In several of the poses you can also press your hand against a wall to maximise this effect. This dynamic class will help to release tension from the muscles associated with your back and improve the range of movement in your spine.
