About
This 50-minute class revisits the essential foundations of Iyengar Yoga standing poses and presents them in a way that will meaningfully challenge experienced practitioners. With no additional props required, it is an ideal sequence to return to when travelling or practicing away from your usual setup. The class expands on concepts typically introduced in the beginner stages of practice – revealing how deceptively simple actions can become deeply demanding when held with greater precision, steadiness, and integration. While beginners can work effectively with individual points in isolation, more seasoned students can layer multiple cues simultaneously, allowing previously familiar poses to reorganise themselves and take on new depth. This approach empowers you to uncover subtleties that often go unnoticed, refining balance, directionality, and postural alignment across key standing poses including Tadasana, Trikonasana, Virabhadrasana II, Parsvakonasana, Ardha Chandrasana, Parsvottanasana, Parivrtta Trikonasana, and Prasarita Padottanasana.
