About
This 60-minute class builds on last week’s foundational sequence, focusing on the essentials of seated poses and twists. Practiced with minimal props – just two blocks and a belt – this class does not require a wall. It begins by exploring key actions in standing poses like Trikonasana and Parsvottanasana, which set the foundation for seated poses and twists. These standing poses emphasise supporting the posterior spine, creating space in the anterior spine, and lengthening the spine before engaging in twisting actions. These techniques are then applied to seated poses such as Dandasana, Virasana, and Triang Mukhaikapada Paschimottanasana, culminating in the foundational seated twist, Bharadvajasana. Ideal for students progressing into intermediate-level classes, this sequence serves as a practical and accessible continuation from last week’s standing pose essentials, perfect also for when you’re on the move or without your usual yoga props.
