Beginner Course Consolidation – Weekly Intermediate Class 249

Focus: This 75 minute practice features a comprehensive selection of key poses from the beginners section on our website. Poses from each of the four courses in our beginners program are included. This class will be well suited to newer students but will also challenge intermediate students and give them an opportunity to consolidate their learning within a single, extended duration class. In this type of class you are continually moving, stretching, balancing and changing positions. In addition to improving mobility, you will also be gaining strength and muscle tone. Along with these physical effects there are many beneficial mental changes that can arise from a simple beginner-style practice. Yoga can improve concentration, mental focus and contribute towards a general sense of well-being. It can also help to promote a healthy body image and self esteem. Many people find this helps them to be less vulnerable to poor food choices and more in tune with a healthy and nourishing lifestyle. 

Key Poses: Tadasana, trikonasana, parsvakonasana, virabhadrasana I, dandasana, sarvangasana.
