About
This weeks advanced class focuses on the concept of balance. Balance quite literally helps us to position our bodies in space without falling over. This reality check of not falling over is relevant to many of the poses in this class. Initially the class includes the inverted poses from the previous two advanced classes. This allows you to consolidate your free balance in adho mukha vrksasana and pincha mayurasana within a sequence of related balancing poses. From there you focus on balancing on one leg with utthita hasta padangusthasana. The standing balancing poses garudasaa and vrksasana are then linked with ardha chandrasana and virabhdrasana I and III. In the headstand section you work to free balance with the twisting leg variation parivrttaikapada sirsasana. A balancing version of niralamba sarvangasana is included towards the end of the sequence. This class will help to improve your overall sense of balance across s variety of challenging asanas. It will also help to bring a spontaneous stability to both body and mind.
