Focus
This class combines a compact sequence of standing poses with a selection of restorative poses to create a balanced and complete practice using just two yoga blocks. Beginning with familiar standing poses such as Trikonasana, Parsvakonasana, Ardha Chandrasana and Parivrtta Trikonasana, the sequence places particular emphasis on upper body alignment, exploring how the arms, shoulders and chest contribute to stability, extension and freedom of movement. The class then transitions into supported versions of Setu Bandha Sarvangasana and Viparita Dandasana, adapting two key restorative variations from Advanced Class 457 to make them accessible to intermediate students without the need for elaborate prop setups. These supported chest-opening poses help to restore energy and release tension before the practice concludes with a quietening Savasana that encourages the eyes to soften and relax. Covering a broad range of beneficial actions in a relatively short sequence, this class offers a practical way to combine strengthening, mobility and deep relaxation, particularly when time is limited or your usual yoga equipment is unavailable.
