About
Forward bends and restorative yoga. This week’s class features a variety of different ways in which forward bends can be used in a restorative yoga sequence. In addition to helping you to preserve energy, this class uses a chair to open your chest, free up the movement of your diaphragm and lead towards heightened breath awareness. It includes variations of key poses such as janu sirsasana, triang mukhaikapada paschimottanasana, supta baddha konasana, viparita dandasana, viparita karani, sarvangasana and savasana. Whilst breathing in these poses your intercostal muscles are given more space and your ribcage can move about with freedom. It will be an ideal class for soothing your nervous system and combating stress and anxiety.
