Yoga poses for menstruation. This calming class combines supported forward bends with poses that help to relieve tightness and heaviness in the abdominal region. Many women in the Iyengar method choose to practice this type of sequence during menstruation. The class does not include any inversions and avoids poses that contract the abdominal region. In addition to being beneficial in terms of women’s health the class will also be therapeutic for men. It can be freely used by all yoga practitioners as a rejuvenating and restorative yoga sequence.
