This class will help to expand your understanding of basic backbend techniques. It features a comprehensive selection of the preliminary “baby” backbends and emphasises fundamental actions and essential techniques. Key backbends such as salabhasa, dhanurasana, ustrasana, bhujangasana and urdhva mukha svanasana are all included. A selection of backbend related standing pose variations are also featured. This type of sequence will be beneficial for both experienced practitioners and students who are newer to the backbend asana group. In addition to consolidating your basic understanding of backbends the class will also help to boost energy levels, improve posture and build strength and elasticity in your spine.
