Focus
Yoga for strong knees. In this class, we incorporate yoga poses that enhance knee strength, stability, and protection. Many of these poses target the quadriceps muscles, particularly the vastus medialis. The vastus medialis, located on the inner side of your front thigh near the knee, plays a crucial role in knee stability and proper kneecap tracking. As your leg bends, it ensures healthy movement.
During the class, you’ll experience several standing poses that offer a unique perspective on knee alignment. These poses actively engage your knees and provide targeted benefits. This class is well-suited for individuals with knee difficulties, offering effective support. However, it’s also beneficial for anyone aiming to optimise and protect their knee health. With this class you’ll not only strengthen your knees but also gain a deeper understanding of their functionality.

Rod – great class! I’ve been feeling bunions developing in the fifth metatarsal of my foot and in this class raised the angle of the block, kept my heel on the floor and manually separated my toes. This helped me, I think spread that metatarsal down and thus my outside foot. So, I think this taking the load off the knee also allowed me to work on my feet! I haven’t looked if there is one but a class on feet specifically addressing bunion development could be great!
