About
This class presents a complete and well-balanced practice that integrates standing poses with inversions. Building on last week’s focus on inversion essentials, the class places these techniques into the broader context of foundational standing poses, allowing strength, alignment, and orientation to develop cohesively. Preparatory and full variations of Sirsasana and Adho Mukha Vrksasana are explored, with clear alternative options offered for students who need more time to consolidate the preparatory stages. The sequence then progresses through key standing poses, including Trikonasana, Virabhadrasana I and II, Parsvakonasana, Parvottanasana, and Prasarita Padottanasana, reinforcing stability, leg strength, and postural clarity. A rejuvenating variation of Setu Bandha Sarvangasana provides a restorative counterbalance before the final Savasana. This thoughtfully structured sequence will challenge students newly working at the intermediate level while continuing to engage and refine the understanding of more experienced practitioners.
