This class features a comprehensive selection of Iyengar Yoga twists. It explores the full spectrum of twisting asanas, beginning with a foundational standing variation of Marichyasana III. Basic actions are established in this preparatory variation to set the foundations for the more advanced twists that follow. Techniques for lengthening the spine prior to twisting are explored and then developed in chair-supported variations of the three key Parivrtta standing twists. The sequence then covers essential seated twists – Bharadvajasana, the classical seated Marichyasana III, and Ardha Matsyendrasana.
