About
This sequence uses a chair as a central tool to shed new light on familiar poses from the standing asana group. The chair provides clear points of contact and leverage, bypassing muscular strain in the legs so you can work more directly into the hip sockets and along the spine. You’ll explore chair-supported Trikonasana, Virabhadrasana I & II, Parsvakonasana and Ardha Chandrasana to lengthen the groins, stabilise the pelvis and create space for spinal release and rotation. You’ll then move into chair-assisted standing twists – Parivrtta Trikonasana, Parivrtta Ardha Chandrasana and Parivrtta Parsvakonasana – to refine axial rotation and evenness through the waist and ribcage. Although it employs some foundational shapes, this is a focused, experience-level sequence designed to surface hidden restrictions and challenge seasoned practitioners.
